December has been such a crazy month for me and Tyler, and I assume you guys have all been super busy as well getting preparded for Christmas. The Centennial group got a lot accomplished this month, they did a candy apple fundraiser and a Christmas tree fundraiser. Eastdale has also been trecking onwards getting their group up running. We also started talking about our Regional workshop in February or March. Exciting times! Me and Tyler hope that you guys are all doing fabulous in your chapters, and getting the fundraising season going - remember Conference is in May and you can register online NOW and save! I really recommend that everyone does register online as soon as possible to lock in their workshop choices. Me and Tyler also sincerely hope you all stay safe this holiday season & enjoy time with your friends and family. Remember- Don't get wrecked this holiday season! Contact Madison. So far, there is a lot of planning for the upcoming events such as; the pasta dinner for Welland Centennial Secondary School, seeing about getting a Regional bus for the OSAID provincial Conference this year, and trying to get Arrive Alive coasters into bars in the Welland area. Looking for an awareness spreading idea? Book a informed speaker to come to your school to talk about the issue. It would be a great way for schools to start up an OSAID group in their schools or to make the students more aware of the dangers of impaired driving. Also, This month, you can decide what you want the OSAID don't text and drive slogan to be. All you have to do is go to the Contests section on the OSAID website -click on this link! You'll have a choice of the final 10 different slogans you can choose from. Now on a more serious note, OSAID is here to help prevent people from making mistakes that change not only their lives but also others around them. Impaired driving doesn't only affect the one driving but also all that are around. So please don't drink and drive, because you can help save a life. Take care and have a great month. Email Madison. Email Tyler. posted October 18, 2011: Hey guys! I hope that since it is now October you are all fitting in nicely back at school and not too stressed out. I just wanted to update you all on our conference theme. The 2012 theme is...WESTERN!! I hope you guys love it just as much as I do! Halloween is fast approaching so maybe you can all start having a lookout for a great western costume. I also wanted to tell you about the YOURS contest going on right now. Check out this link. It is called the "Embrace Life" campaign. The objective of this contest it to take a picture (whether it be a photograph, art work, etc) and send it in with a caption that goes along with the theme, embrace life. You can send in more than one, and there can be more than one person in your picture. In your picture you might want to have someone holding something of importance to them. You can enter as many times as you want, so I encourage you all to participate. I also want everyone to remember with Halloween coming up to stay safe! Finally, don't forget the OSAID contest! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me or Tyler. Keep in mind, friends don't let friends drink and drive. posted September 18, 2011: Hello Region 12, it's me, Madison, again! I hope you are all settling back into school and enjoying it.
