OSAID Events, Projects, Activities, Campaigns, Resources and Public Relations

Once you've got your event ( or project or activity or campaign) planned you'll need some resources. Finally, you'll need to let people know about it so everyone shows up! In this section, we offer some tried and test advice to save you time!

Analysis Matters - Every OSAID event or activity is going to have a result. You'll find that taking the time to find out why it was successful ( or, maybe, not as successful as you hoped it would be) will help you when you start planning your next OSAID awareness raising project! We offer some helpful questions to help you look at what made your event work.

Community Resources - Looking for resources? There are groups who help OSAID members. Contacting them first will save you time!

OSAID Resources - OSAID resources are free to OSAID members. (We don't charge for resources but request a donation to cover the cost of postage and packaging for larger amounts. Please contact the OSAID office and we'll be happy discuss it.) 

Public Relations

OSAID is about raising awareness in the community as well as your school. One of the best ways to do that is to let people know what you're doing. That means publicity.  This section gives some helpful advice on how to arrange that.

What does your community know about OSAID?  Everything OSAID you do tells people about OSAID and its members. We offer some advice on the most positive  ways to do that.

Publicity in your school - Publicity is how you let people know about your OSAID event. If you tell people about it, they will come to your awareness raising event!

Public Relations - some ideas for 'news' - What makes your event sound interesting?  If it does, the media will want to cover your event! 

Press Releases - These are how you will let the media news editors know about your event. We give some suggestions of how to put your press releases together and when to send them out.
